Golly, if ya have it that close for 'em, any locksmith worth their salt should be able to make a key at this point.
Just my opinion of course, didn't say it was a good one... Whitney

This may be an easier option... i don't think that would work for mine. I've seen that before and it says it won't replace round cylinders like mine.

True. I hadn’t noticed the shape. For round cylinders I’ve taken it to the local locksmith and he rekeyed it without a problem. The mistake I made once was telling him that it came from a vintage camper. He wanted to charge me double. I came back with the same cylinder a week later and told him it came out of a “small camper” and the price dropped back to normal.

If you can find a key that fits the lock, it is also possible to make it work. Fit the key into the cylinder. Some of the pins will be flush with the lock cylinder. Grind any small protruding pins flat with the cylinder, allowing it to turn inside the lock.
I did the above with a cargo door lock and it worked well. A 751 key is very common in many trailers up until today. The key fit the cylinder but the pins weren't flush. Once the pins were flush, the key worked perfectly.

Got my cylinder back today after being at the lock smith for 3 hours. Super impressed! It works! Key for our 67 Shasta has been missing for years. Great satisfaction knowing it works again!
