I already figured that much out, I was under the impression with the VIN I could find out the year, is that not true?

There's only a handful of vintage makes that have a decodable VIN. Hanson was one, (year, length, serial# = 52 17 288). Shasta was another because of the manufacturing plants and consecutive numbers. Others used the length and width plus serial number (15 7 ####) as in model number. Our Aljo was 6 1500 7 ####, which was the year 56, then the length, 15' and the 7 foot width plus the serial.
Most trailers newer than 1970 had random VINs that meant very little. With over 1000 brands in vintage years (until 1969), very few had a decodable VIN.
Just a thought-could your numbers be the cupler part # instead of a VIN? It just doesn't read like a VIN to me. Note: VINs rarely had dots or periods.

Shasta Compact ![]() At the newest, it would be a '67. No upper front side marker light which was required in '68. (actually has all the same details as my '67; 4" break siding, jalousie unframed window, side stripe) With those features in mind, the year range would be '65-'67 ('64 still ham style) Would like to see interior pics (just click the share arrow in flickr, select the bbc tab, copy the url and paste it in your post, oh, and be sure your are in advanced mode and not in quick reply)
Post your vin in this thread: SHASTA VIN # and model Database IISomeone will look at the database and probably get a little closer on the year
Just my opinion, didn't say it was a good one, Whitney ![]()

Thank you so much!! I'll get pictures of the inside tomorrow, just brought her home last night. I did take a picture of the license plate, 1975 was the last time she was legal. LOL. Maybe Monday I can go back to DMV and see if they can give me any information with the plate number π€. Thank you everyone for all the ideas and suggestions I have somewhere to start now, you're all very much appreciated!! π€

Check out the Shasta database thread, it will show you where the VIN should be. Two different locations...
