Bought this trailer back in the beginning of July with a plan to have the skins off, frame repaired and skins back on and sealed before the fall/winter weather got in my way. Unfortunately health issues have created some big hiccups and we are not where we wanted to be. Today we made major progress and all of the ceiling and walls have been dismantled and stored away. Our trailer was built in framing panels which were each added after the walls and birch paneling was installed. We now have just the frame and can remove the old floor to repaint the frame and then put a new floor back on. Then we will rebuild each framing panel and reassemble. Thankfully most of this work can be done in the shop or under cover. May not put the walls back on until spring but who knows, if we get a week of decent weather, anything is possible. Looks like an excellent start! Hope your health issues resolve so you can get right to work.

This is going to be a beautiful trailer! You’re doing it right, plus you have indoor space to work. I remember feeling a bit overwhelmed when we stood back for the first time and looked at the bare, but rusty, m tall frame and many hundreds of pieces laying neatly in piles all over the garage. The good news at this point is that everything you do from here on in is rebuilding, and we’re glad you’re feeling well enough to dive in. We look forward to seeing pictures of the progress.
