Hey all. Couple of questions regarding my windows. 1. In the rear of my 65 Shasta 1500 I have a sliding glass HEHR window. In the process of cleaning up the frame I broke both pieces of glass. I removed all the glass and cleaned out all the mud and junk. My question is regarding the screws (see pic) they seem to be almost like a rectangular driver bit. Anyone know where to get this bit or how to get these screws out without stripping? 2. On the sliding glass part there is a fuzzy brush seal of some sort. I assume it is weatherstipping and ito stop the metal from scratching the glass when it slides. Anyone know how to get that out and where to find a replacement, i.e. can I use any similar weatherstripping? Next question has to do with the large front windows that have a solid piece of glass in the middle between two sections of jalousie windows. 1. There is a plastic gasket seal around the glass that sealed it in. Can I reuse that or should I just get new seals since they are rubber/plastic? They seem to be in pretty good shape but I am concerned about leaks. Thank you!! The screws are clutch heads. Take a screw with to the hardware store to get the right size bit. I'm not much of a glass person. Hopefully someone will chime in with help. Haven't seen the fuzzies on a window in that area before...

Maybe it's been replaced with a more modern window? Did they use that style in 65?
To remove / replace the weather strip and/or glass you will have to disassemble the frame by removing the screws. Don't be surprised if the glass doesn't sit in another gasket that wraps around the edge of the glass. Kind of like the old aluminum storm windows on a house.
Just my opinion, didn't say it was a good one... Whitney
