I recently picked up a 1955 Siesta canned ham. I'm in New Orleans, and I'm a little worried about the hurricane forecast to hit on Monday. Looks like we could get 100-120 mph winds. The camper doesn't have any leaks. Do I need to be worried about it tipping over?!
Any and all advice for how to secure the camper would be hugely appreciated!

Can you cement some bent rebar deep into the ground and chain the camper frame at 4 corners? Would be good theft deterrent later too. Tarp it to protect the windows from small debris. I recall Tim Heintz had campers blow over in a recent hurricane.

Also try to park in the lea of a building. Maybe some cardboard on the windows before you tarp.

Thanks for those good ideas. Work is closed on Monday so we decided to take the camper out to a lake in TX.

How did you guys fair with the hurricane? Was the trailer far enough out?
