Hi, I’m getting ready to restore my cargo door. It has 2 hooks screwed into side to hold up the door when open. I don’t think this is orginial and will be replacing skin on trailer so won’t replace them. Can I add hinges that lock in place to keep it open, like ones used on cabinet doors? Does anyone have suggestions? Thx much. utility door by Julia Jensen, on Flickr

Many of use a stick to hold the door open. I shellacked mine so it was purty...

Yah, good idea. I go cheap. I use an old gift wrap cardboard roll to hold open the storage compartment door. Adds character and it looks vintage. Gift wrap rolls have been the same for eons. Saves on weight, too.
