Hello all I am renovating a 1959 airflyte and have a question. I need to get new aluminum paneling for both the front and back, as well as a new roof. I am wondering if I could wrap the roof aluminum all the way from the ground in the front to the bumper in the rear.keep it one piece and just cut out the front and back windows. Has anyone thought about or have done this? This trailer is being renovated for a food trailer so keeping it original isn’t a concern.
Thanks in advance

It's a lot more work to go from front, up and over and down to the back with one piece of metal. For one thing, roof metal has sealed factory seams. Front and rear metal have either Pittsburg or S lock seams; the lower metal slips up into the upper. The spaces on either side of the window allow you adjust sizing to suit by cutting them to fit.

I thought about trying a one piece roof on my first build. Hemmet Valley talked me out of it when I ordered the new skin. It's much easier to position the main portion with Pittsburg seams at the front and back, and then cutting the lower front and lower rear panels to fit.
