Hi everyone. I'm new here. Found this site today after purchasing a 1964 Shasta trailer. It needs a complete makeover which I'm excited about starting. I live in Canada and I have not seen that many Shasta's in around my area in British Columbia. This is a 13' and if you measure from the rear bumper to the hitch it is appox. 15 1/2 ft. So I'm not sure on how their rated when it comes to the size. It is registered as a '64 but then today I found a few metal plates attached that where covered in so much paint, I finally got them off, cleaned them to read them. One plate has this info stamped on it: M-66, S22816, 2674, DA26222. The VIN # on my registration shows the S22816. Another smaller plate has the Shasta trailer logo and Mfg. by Shasta Trailer Co. 94010Tampa Ave. Northridge, Calf. I'm just not clear about the year on the registration. Do any of these numbers/letters indicate the correct year? I also did scrape the paint off the left side of the tongue and F S 22816 is there and also PA2674 is stamped on there. Did a lot of these trailers come from Northridge Calf. ?Any help anyone can give me is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Tunes.

Congratulations on the find. I have access to the Shasta database but unfortunately I am out of the country right now. Hopefully the other moderators will check in and get the information you need. If not, I will do it next week when I’m back from Haiti.

Hello and Welcome,
Based on your VIN the FS does indicate that it was manufactured in Northridge, California. In the database, I did find a VIN that was FS 22811 that was marked as a 1963. That's only 5 digits off.
Cheers,
Rod
