We need new tires for Hamlet, and I’m embarrassed to admit that the ones we have are more than ten years old. They were American made by Coker and are whitewalls. They are NOT trailer tires.
When Hamlet was built, it was all made in the USA. We feel pretty strongly that if we’re going to say “buy American,” we should be doing just that. Problem is that we can’t find a 6.5x13 inch bias ply trailer tire made in the States, or at least in North America. So my question is, just how important is having an ST tire for a 1200 pound trailer, and why? We will do what is best, even if the tires have to be shipped halfway around the world.
Thanks, everyone!
