Didnt do a lot yesterday. Pulled what was left of the dinette seats out. IMG_1752 by will andrews, on Flickr IMG_1753 by will andrews, on Flickr Removed some lights. Ran these through the dishwasher. They turned out great. Ill replace the chrome bases. It had the gas light still in it but is that the correct globe? Its not clear on the bottom half like I see the majority of them. IMG_1751 by will andrews, on Flickr Im still kicking out the last tenants. These guys give me nightmares. IMG_1747 by will andrews, on Flickr

We'll be selling our 65 around November to fund future projects. It was our 1st. Its a great camping trailer. Not a super show piece because we used the original skin but its been great to camp in. We always have people wanting to go inside and see it at the camp grounds IMG_E1556 by will andrews, on Flickr.

Nice looking Shasta. Fond memories camping in a 1966 Shasta Ultra growing up.

Gas Light globe: does it have a hole in the bottom? It looks like a regular globe for a 110 light, so, if no hole, not correct. Globes are available.

Sounds like the globe might work then. See if you can find a mark, Pyrex, or? Even if not, it still might be OK.

I haven't done anything to the deluxe this weekend. The wife and I took a road trip to meet some new friends. We got to meet Shasta Tom and his wife. Great people to hang out with and we brought home a 59 Airfyte. Not a bad trip. We had a great time and it was only 998 miles from my drive way to toms driveway. IMG_1786 by will andrews, on Flickr IMG_1785 by will andrews, on Flickr IMG_1787 by will andrews, on Flickr I got to see Toms trailers in person. His work is so nice. His 54 and 58 look like barn find survivors. I wish I would have had more time to study his work. It was amazing. Doing a little more each day. Removed the shag carpet. That job was nasty. Got the old fridge wiggled out. IMG_1860 by will andrews, on Flickr Removed some the drawers and cabinet doors. Trying to lighten the load before I try to remove the axle and slide it in the garage. IMG_1861 by will andrews, on Flickr IMG_1864 by will andrews, on Flickr Going to remove the old furnace. It wont be going back in if anyone wants it just let me know. IMG_1863 by will andrews, on Flickr Got way behind on my frisbee game while on the road trip to pick up the 59. Did your trailer have the external water heater? I have an empty cavity on external streetside, and the door is missing too. But I can tell that's where the water heater was, probably the Vaillant model. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to use that space for a modern water heater? The space is 13" wide x 31" tall x 7" deep, and has existing water and gas lines waiting at the bottom of the space.

Hi Friends,
Wow, the work is cut out for you! Looking forward to watching the progress.
As to the heater, I was in a trailer at the last rally and someone had removed what I think is the same wall heater and turned it into a booze cabinet. It was very tastefully done. That owner liked to drink a lot. Not for me. I only mention it because it was a clever use of space and probably could be turned into a spice cabinet or pantry of sorts with a solid door.
Cheers,
Rod

Cheers, Rod that’s something to think about. I was just going to replace the panel and block it up.
