Hello, I just finished re-skinning my exterior aluminum on my 48 Spartanette. I saw Flight Camp Youtube video which they used a "Rubberized type sealer to seal the interior rivets on their aluminum trailers for added protection. Has anyone had experience doing this and what product did you use and what method to apply it. I hear "Flex Seal" is one product to use?
Thanks

I haven't used Flex Seal and after reading the reviews, prefer not to. The rivets should seal themselves fairly well. I would like to seal each with something gooey that can be smeared round the inside portion of the rivet. We use a lot of OSI gutter seal (Lowes) here and it works well. The 5 0z tube is much better than the caulk and lasts years with the lid securely tightened.
A good place to research aluminum and rivets would be Airforums. It is mostly Airstreams, but the members know a lot about other riveted brands as well.
