Previous owner removed the toilet and black water tank. I wanted to put one in but vintage trailer supply’s would not fit. Is there a custom manufacturer that anyone has used to make a tank? If anyone has pics of an original one it would be real helpful.

If anyone has pics of an original one it would be real helpful. RONCO PLASTICS, is located in Tustin, CA (Redhill and Edinger) They have a crappy website, but great products. They have been making custom plastic tanks for the past 45 years at this same location. They make the tanks by the sizes they show, then they offer various wall thickness, and then fresh or black holding. Lots of options. I picked up a tank this week and will return next week to have my fittings installed based on my marked locations. This is a big company, they ship hundreds of tanks per day. I buy a couple of tanks from them each year. They run on a 7 to 10 day lead time, and are reasonably priced. I think product shipping cost is the killer, but they are local to me. John

John,
Thanks for the reply. For thickness do you have a recommendation? Its not a big tank. I think originally held 9-10 gal. I am wondering if I gave them the specs along with the fitting locations they could do it all then send it to me?

I think they are made for marine, or off road applications which see extreme vibrations. You need to pick out one of their existing sizes/shapes. Then send them a diagram of exactly where you want the bungs spun welded into the tank. I think the only hard part is communicating exactly where you want the locations, which is why you would want to send a diagram, not make it a verbal purchase. Spin welding the plastic bungs is easy, but you need a special mandrel. It's not worth buying a special mandrel (you need one for every fitting size) unless you are doing this on a regular basis. They have a crappy website... A hidden bit of humor. It would be a shame to let it go to waste.

flic.kr/p/2kxd7z8The floor of my bathroom is notched in the corner. Do any shasta deluxe owners with the bathroom near the front have the black tank notched to fit the corner?
