I have kicked off work on this vintage camper project (see Avatar for trailer photo) and need help making since of the VIN number. Comparing my camper with others I have seen online, it resembles an Aristocrat Lo Liner. The VIN number is barely readable on the trailer tongue and in mismatched block letters running downhill the VIN appears to read 15-5170. Can anyone assist with make and model or offer information about the trailer or VIN? Additional photo links below:
Many, many trailer companies used the trailer length in the VIN. My 65 Loliner Vin was quite a bit longer: 803B 15 7 S 3139. (it was 15 feet and 7' wide) I agree that it looks like a Loliner, especially if there are not roof protrusions.
There are some copy cat trailers out there, Lark being one brand, Nomad another possible.
