Hello: New member, my husband bought a Shasta to renovate and we are trying to figure out what year it was built. I found Ross's thread regarding VIN numbers, but I do not see a Reply button in order to add my query to that thread. Please advise, thanks! Sharon

If you log in you'll see it near the top of the thread on the right side.

Thanks, looks like the original thread was closed, therefore there was no Reply button. I found the new thread and it has a Reply button.

Welcome and congrats on your new to you trailer. Looks like a mid-late sixties, if that’s a jalousie on the side.. we’ve had our ham-style Compact (Hamlet) for more than a decade and still love it as much as we did when it was a $350 wreck. You say “renovate.” Please, please read through relevant threads, and pretty much anything that comes from vikx, mobiltec or john palmer. These are folks who have restored many, many old trailers. Mobiltec has a lot of videos and vikx has an e-book on repairing old trailers. It’s fun to do the decorating (the last thing to do), but unless you do the underlying structure, you could be putting both yourselves and others in danger when you’re out on the road.
Best wishes and please post pictures Although there is a wealth of good information here (as opposed to what you might find on Facebook or other places), we are all a little nosy when it comes to seeing pics of others’ trailers.

Thanks, Marie

Go to the section you want and you will find "Create a Thread" button to the right at the top.

You need to have 50 posts to advertise here. Only one more to go... Also, you should know that the general public can not view our for sale section. Facebook Marketplace is a better place to advertise.
