Hello,
One thing we noticed that needs to be addressed is how to keep the door from swinging all the way open and eventually either busting the hinge or smacking the door handle into the siding. We're thinking something like the spring and chain deals that go on porch screen doors or even something mounted on the outside. What do people use to control the door while walking in/out with stuff in their hands?
Thanks, Nate

Most RV companies sell door catches; they mount on the trailer side and door. There are plastic and metal ones.
Google RV door catch.

This has a rubber stop that works but latch for the door needs tape to keep it (over time) from scratching the door. I use a small bungee to hold both The screen and door to this stop.

I was thinking more along the lines of something that wouldn't bang. I'd like to open the door and let it go and not worry about damaging anything. I also have a 5yo that can't quite reach the handle well enough and basically lets the door open on its own. If we're camping on a slope the door wants to fly all the way open and it's a heavy-ish door. I figured there was a spring system of sorts that grabbed on to the door. I might need to fashion something.
