Hi....we bought our camper about 15 years ago and are just now starting to work on it. We located the serial number, S10734, and know that it was made in Columbia, South Carolina. Would love input on how to decode the number. We think it is a 1970...Shasta Compact.
The 2 side windows and the kitchen window on the front end have 2 wide panes of glass. The window on the rear end is a solid pane of glass. There is no window on the right side of the door. There is a smaller window above the main window on the back side up at the level where the bunk would open out.
Some water damage but looks like it wont be too hard to work it out. Very lucky to have all the original parts...1 propane light over the stove and the propane lantern for outside. Going to look at Birch paneling that we might have to purchase to replace the wall board. Also plan to clean up the roof and coat it with the "silver" sealant before we replace the roof vent.
Very excited to see all the posts on this website. We are looking forward to documenting each step in our Georgia Peach restoration...and getting on the road with it.
