I am just finishing a frame-up restoration on a 1961 Shasta self-contained. Mine has a gaucho bed in the front with two tables that fold down from the walls. I haven't seen too many pictures of this floor plan arrangement. Is it something that is somewhat rare?

Can you share a few photos?
That model was not made in large numbers. I believe it has the rear door?

No rear door. There is a second gaucho on the curb side toward the rear

I'll second the request for photos.
The early 16SC was offered with the option from the dealer of the front gaucho, however they are rather rare. Most were laid out with the dinette in the front, and the gaucho along the curbside wall rearward. I thought there were brochure photos that showed this layout, but I have not found them yet. There was a member here on the board a number of years back who picked one up with this layout and then rebuilt it with the dinette in the front.

I can get pictures at a later date. I just finished painting it today with Sherwin-Williams dimension paint. It’s a little bit pricey but it looks great.
