I've shared this before but since I'm using it this week I thought I'd share that even in Jacksonville, FL it works great. Dark photo of the flex pipe connecting to the toilet flange (don't laugh) and shooting cold air into the camper.
I had to turn it off in the middle of the night when the temp in the camper dropped too low.

What type of hose are you using? I could not find a good sized insulated hose and so use dryer vent hose which loses a lot of the cool and accumulates a ton of condensation.

It does have a lot of condensation. If you’re going to be a redneck why worry about condensation? I’m a cool, comfortable redneck.

The times I've tried it, fed into the upper bunk window, too much cool was lost in the 5 foot hose to make it worthwhile. Maybe your shorter length in the shade is where it's at.

There is 4” insulated flex duct a HomeDepot There you go, adding a $10 piece of ductwork to my system. Now it’s not a $50 system. This whole thread makes no sense now. ;-) ——— Dan, this system takes maybe 15° off the camper. We tried it once in direct sun on a 100° day. It was terrible. But last night it was 85° and humid. This system worked great.
