It appears that I must have run a staple into the power wire running to my passenger side rear side marker light. It is grounding out. It's pretty frustrating because we were careful around the wires. Must have gotten confused after we put on the skin.
Anyway, it looks like the only solutions for me are to run a wire on the inside of the trailer, pig-tailed off a rear running lite wire or the opposite side rear marker. Does anyone have suggestions for me here?
The other option is trying to wire up an LED, switched, battery operated assembly inside this light. This would also not be easy to do because of the small light (either have a waterproof switch on the light or move the switch to the inside of the trailer which would be ugly).
What would you do in this scenario? I'm almost done with the trailer and this is such a disappointment.
Thanks, Nate

I feel for you. I had to pull the lights out and use the old wire as a guide to fish a new one up into the side marker because I did something like it as well. I also found a thin flexible piece of metal and fished the wire from the street side to the center and then from center to curbside light to deal with some issue.
The toughest one is getting the wire from the side marker to the rear tail light through the hole that is drilling in the wood but it can be done without taking the skin off.
But again your lighting may be a bit different then mine and how I ran the wires.
I am sure some of the other guys have better ideas. Good luck.

Photos would help if you got any of the wiring? I keep pictures for a case like this.
Remove the screws from the culprit light then test it. If it's at the light, re-screw each until you discover the bad one. It can be replaced with a nylon screw or you can try a screw in another location. If it's a staple, harder to fix. Remove the light and tug on the wire. If it is tight, that is probably the bad wire. Snip the hot wire long enough to connect a new wire. You should be able to fish the new wire from the light to the tail. You might have to drill a small hole thru your edge wood to sneak it around the corner.
Also, I use red masking tape to mark wire locations as I'm hanging the skins. Too late now, but a tip for the future.
