Ross in no longer here, or at least not handling this section. Please post your question or VIN That explains it, then. I was just wondering if anyone could help me find out more about our trailer that I am partly inheriting/partly buying my sisters out of. What year, model, anything at all? I have more pictures I can share (in another thread probably) when I get more energy... I’m hoping also to get some help figuring out what a fair price is to buy my sisters out at, and also to pick people’s brains about what some different parts are on it and stuff. But I figured starting off with more about just a guess at age and model would be pretty awesome.

It doesn't look to have had any work. What does the interior look like? Most of us are restorers so our guesstimates will be as a candidate for rebuilding. It's a nice Shasta but if it's got water damage, not worth a lot...

Is the frame (metal and wood) solid? I agree with vikx, we need to see the inside.

Okay! I’m back, finally. In case my pictures disappear from the actual post, I put them on a Shutterfly share site too. ourshastab.shutterfly.com/pictures/8We haven’t been able to check yet whether the electric or water or anything works, so I can’t report on that. The tires seem to still be holding air from when last they were filled, the plan is to replace them for safety. We weren’t able to check if the wheels move because we only have our teeny car right now and the trailer is pretty settled into where it is. It has moved in the last year sometime, though, because I remember my BIL moving it. We checked the... hitch lock? Can’t think of the name for sure, but the little bit that sort of tilts up and down on the front of the hitch and it moves fine, and so does the hitch jack. Pictures of the curb side and what we could see that might need attention: The door is a little cantankerous. Sometimes it doesn’t want to unlock, sometimes it doesn’t want to open, and sometimes I have try eight or ten times to get it to really lock and not just pretend. The screen door also gets stuck closed in a way that feels like there’s a knack to it I haven’t figured out yet, with the top glad to open and the bottom firmly stuck. Will put next section of pics in next post because I’m not sure if the app will try to squish them all together, and it’s a lot of pics.

Floor time! Turned out that the carpet was only laid on top, not glued or anything, yaaaay. As far as my unlearned self can tell, that makes this the original floor? This is by the door. Didn’t seem to be soft, just the flooring coming up a bit. These next two pics are of bolts that go down through the flooring. There’s some wearing around them that shows plywood. I don’t know whether the bolts are original construction or a fix for something... anybody know? This last picture is a spot near the icebox or fridge(see question/pics later in thread) that is a little bit soft. If I’m remembering correctly it was maybe the size of a small teacup saucer. Not scary soft, but I did notice it.

Light fixtures and a couple miscellaneous... almost done! The canvas bunk above the couch/bed. Still intact, though I’m not sure I would trust the 57 year old canvas. The light (I’m assuming) over the table. Looks like maybe it’s gas? Would this work off of the propane? This one is also over the table, not as high up. This one is back by the couch by one of the side windows, and we think it’s for a light but we don’t actually know? Anybody? This one was sort of in the middle of the trailer, maybe back toward the couch a little if I remember right. Over the kitchen area I think. Okay, what is the purpose of this? Is it original? If it is, is it actually intended for a phone? I am so confused by it being here! It’s centered just above the table. And this is in the left hand cupboard over the sink. No idea what these wires are supposed to go to. Any guesses? Just one more post of pictures to go! Almost there! You’ve almost made it!
