Hey Everyone! First off, this site is amazing!! Thank you all who maintain it! I'm trying to remove the water tank from our 1971 Fan Lee Liner. It's one of the pressure tanks. This "apparatus" on the outside needs to be removed, I'm sure.. Does anyone know how I should go about this? ..I'm about ready to hack it off... but, someone may want it.. Any help would be greatly appreciated. While i'm at it.. does any know of a company that can custom make a water tank? I want to fit it to the shape of the compartment so I can maximize the space. Thanks!! Al ps.. I'm not sure the photos are posting..

Hack it off on the inside. (the pipe to the tank) Loosen the screws on the outside and pull it out. If you want to save the fill, heat it hot to get the pipe piece loose. Good luck!

Replace the copper plumbing with Pex. A lot of the copper is no good anyway...

Definitely! 1/2 inch PEX should do the trick? I ordered a 7 Gallon tank that should get here today as well. I've also decided to repurpose the water inlet fixture since it matches.. and the only fill stuff i could find was plastic.. wouldnt not look good on this rig.. do you think a 2GPM water pump is good enough? Thanks!!!

Small pumps are fine for single fixtures. If you plan on a full system, go with a larger pump, 3 gal+. Shurflo 2088 and up with various features. They have some that are quiet, some need accumulators to be quiet and others simply pump water. They are reliable.

Thanks Vikx! I just have the toilet and faucet... I can't see us doing much more that flushing and washing our hands or dishes. Besides that, my wife likes to have full hook ups... i need to get her out more!! lol! Apparently, I purchased a 7 Gallon and a 10 Gallon Combo Tank kit.. I think i can fit the 10 in that spot. ..if any needs a 7 Gallon let me know..
