Hi Everyone! I'm Laurel and I live in the rural reaches of west texas down in the big bend. I recently bought a cute and faded old lady 1960 shasta SC from my neighbor for $1500. Was it a deal? IDK yet- have to take some things apart and examine. I did a short video about it here: Subscribe to my channel because I have a lot more coming- i love home projects and I will be posting a bunch of videos about trailers, buses, vintage cars, home repair, craigslist adventures. thanks!! I cannot WAIT to start digging in on the Shasta but am also totally intimidated. But I have done a bunch of projects and building construction before so I know I can handle it. I am waiting on getting a carport here to put her under for repair so I don't FRY while taking it apart... I am SO excited you all are here, what an inspiration and a great community. Can't wait to watch all the videos and ask so many questions! I also own a pretty rare (I think- 400 were made?) 1950 Roadlite that is parked in a field the next town over to use as my "city" residence when I work. It's already been renovated by a friend who then sold it to me. See a pic here- More to come. Thanks and I look forward to talking to you all.

Welcome!
Your Shasta has a lot of potential. Once you have the skin off you'll get a clear idea on how far the rot has spread.
