I have, I believe a L66a handle on my 1957 Pathfinder. I'm looking to build a new door and I was wondering if there is a door thickness range that this handle will work satisfactorily on? I am checking in to making the new door with aluminum frame work and I want to make sure whatever diameter square tubing I go with, that this handle will still fit correctly. I assume the handle will fit a variety of door thicknesses. Can someone post a picture of an L66a handle or post a link to one? I don't believe my handle is a standard l66 or l77. Thanks.

They were made to fit different doors. You will need a wood support for the handle inside the door framing. Loosen the screws until they have several turns and measure the gap, then tighten down and measure. You should come up with a door thickness that will work.
