If it suits you, do it. Our camper is virtually worthless but we rebuilt it from the ground up. If you were near me, if take a look and consider taking it off your hands because the larger size suits me more these days.

ANYTHING can be fixed. Since it is a larger trailer, you will invest more time, money and blood than in a little trailer. It has a nice shape.
Unfortunately, you will have more in it than you can ever recover. The larger trailers just don't bring the sales like the 50s canned hams. Whether you keep it or not is entirely up to you. The beginnings are correct, so if you continue, it means keep on tearing down/discovering rot. If it has advanced systems, that means more spent on tanks, lines, electrical, etc.
Hopefully, more will chime in on this. Let us know what you decide to do.

I agree with the posts above, it all depends on how much you want it (to keep) and how much you enjoy the work.
If the thought of doing the work doesn’t interest you as a challenge and you want to go camping next month, you would be better off paying $8,000-$12,000 for a restored camper. The price depends on the size, year, style and how long ago the restoration work was done.
If the project excites you, and you’re willing to work on it every weekend for a year, and money isn’t a big issue, and you want exactly this style-size camper, go for it. It seems to be in the same condition many of our campers are when we start.
As vikx often says, we’re here to help.

I personally love the layout and the fact that it has a bathroom is a big plus. My wife isn't a camper so I doubt we would use it. I like to build and love old things so I planned to sell it. It seems to me that it would be difficult to get the money back out of it so I am thinking of selling it or parting it out. I put it up on the local classifieds for $2000 we will see if anything happens
