Our license plate light is in decent condition. It is a bit pitted still but I like the character. I saw on another thread that Lanny (Vintage Trailer Parts) is currently closed, hopefully this summer. I had been planning to buy the repair kit from him for this light. Anyone have an idea what I could use for the glass cylinder if Lanny does not reopen? I think I can source the LED and gasket elsewhere but the cylinder has me stumped. Thanks! Before polishing. I had always thought lab parts might fit. They sell all sorts of glass tubes and containers. Another source of ideas may be a local glass worker. They are in the know on glass...

Those are great suggestions, I will try those out and report back if I find anything! Gwen

Even plastic would work in a pinch. It would have to be thin tho...

I've wondered if using a low voltage (low heat) bulb would allow making a simple cylinder by cutting a piece of plastic off a container the correct size and wrapping it in the barrel grooves.
