To get high density foam cushions. I get mine locally from foamorder.com which is very good quality. You want everflex 34 or Duraflex 34 foam for your seats probably 5 inches thick. They have a store in SF that's pretty close and I like doing business with them but they aren't the cheapest. www.foamorder.com/conventional.php#v34

Has anyone bought foam from JoAnn's Fabrics? Our local store seems to have a pretty good selection.

I have some in one of my cammpers and they work fine, but they do also have a 2" memory foam topper glued on top of them also. Everyone that has slept/sat on them comment how comfy they are.

Has anyone bought foam from JoAnn's Fabrics? Our local store seems to have a pretty good selection. You can get foam from JoAnn's. They DO NOT have the same quality that you get from businesses that supply upholsterers. That being said, if you are on a tight budget and get their most dense foam, you can get away with 5" thickness, if you aren't going to sleep on it often, or if only kids will be on it, maybe you can get away with 4". Soft foam seems nice if you're sitting on it for a few minutes, but the heavier the person, and the longer the sit, the less support and more discomfort it provides. IF, however, you like a comfortable, firm-ish sitting and sleeping surface that will last a long time and you can use as frequently as you want, up your budget by about 50% and go for the 5" foam from a foam place. Cushions seem a minor thing, but choosing both the cushion and the fabric can make a huge difference in how the trailer looks and lives.
