Electric is nice...I have one on my hauler. It does not work without the battery though....just a matter of logistics. One thing to be aware of, the jack in my Airflyte was froze up solid. I removed it and tried to replace it temporarily with a Bulldog jack I had lying around. Turns out there are two holes it must go through in the hitch, the lower one smaller diameter than the upper. The Bulldog did not fit. At all. I went through the same fitment on the '69 Compact and it was the same story.
The VTS jack is probably built to address that problem.

I bought the VTS sidewinder tongue jack. It is a perfect match for the old one, except of course, the old one was a top wind. Now, maybe it's just me, but I pictured the jack winding on the side of the frame, towards the trailer but no, the handle is between the front of the trailer and the jack. In other words, it's directly in front of where my propane tank will be.
I just scrolled up and read Vikx comment, yep, that's what happened, it's in the front. Why is the universe working against me and this trailer?

I bought a top wind from vts because I hate cutting bigger holes in something this old. Plus I haven't learned the whole 'smarter than harder' bit. It fit the holes but I have four bolts securing mine to the frame instead of three. Had my welder buddy replace the coupling with the one from the original. It is some nice to be able to jack it up as smooth as it is. I was getting sick of my Bottle jack. If I did it again, I would have remembered which hole was the front. It works fine as is but foot attachment holes aren't straight. Oh well. You live and hopefully learn..
