Hello Friends, Is anyone using washers where the Hehr window lever attaches to the Sash mid frame support? The gap between the support and the lever hinge piece would easily support a washer or two. When I dismantled my windows they had no washers. I was considering aluminum washers or nylon washers. As I begin re-assembling the windows after clean up, it makes me wonder if it might help to place washers on either side of the lever hinge piece(for lack of a better term). My mid frame supports were squished due to compression from the throughbolt. I rewidened them already so the mid frame support shows almost no compression. Here is the lever arm as it is screwed to the mid frame support.
Here is a close up of one side.
Here is the other side. There seems to be a fair amount of play.
Thanks,
Rod

Hey Rod,
No washers in mine and no extra play. I think I just cranked on them till everything was secure and working smoothly.

Thanks Kerry and NC,
When I took apart the windows, the mid frame supports had been crimped from tightening the nut that attaches the lever to the mid frame support in the sash. I thought, maybe washers had long since vanished. I didn't like the look of the crimped support, it just seemed sloppy. So I widened them back to parallel. If you guys have no washers, then I guess, that's just what they did.
Cheers,
Rod
