Hey all, I've got some sweet teardrop marker lights that I'm looking to install on my 1969 Little Dipper. However, I didn't anticipate the gigantic gap I would encounter when trying to mount the lights on the top rear due to the curve in the body shape. Check the pics. photos.app.goo.gl/TbocXXSUUxg3Kfn86photos.app.goo.gl/uV4iVLk4wQMv1b6x8Ofcourse the mesa isn't helping the issue either. I would really like to find an alternative to piling butyl tape in there to fill the gap. I expect that will look terrible. Is there some kind of sand-able epoxy or caulking that I can put in there and then shape it to the gap? Should I custom build a filler that can slide in there (if so what do I make it from)? The marker lights where all removed when I got this so i don't have a good reference for how the previous owner did this other than where the lights were mounted. I would appreciate any ideas -Jasper-

I think the originals must have been smaller and thinner. Maybe you should consider a different light?
I don't think a beehive will work. Too wide for the mesa.

You might be able to build a base out of flexible plastic or rubber pads. Or use putty and paint the edges that show.

Make contour templates both directions. Make a mold and use poly resin, cast your own bases. Sounds more difficult than it would be.
