Just wondering if there's any way to confirm the axle weight rating on my 63 Airflyte.
I saw someone in one of the threads say it's 3500 lbs but some internet research says that 1.5" square axles typically support between 1,000-2,000 (e-trailer Q&A's). I don't see the topic anywhere else.
I really want to keep the original axle if I can help it, but only if it's rated at least 3,500lbs (to be on the safe side of things)
Anyone have any info?

I'm pretty sure an Airflyte would have a 3500lb. axle. Check with a tire store and see what they say. Or possibly a trailer repair shop.

Sounds good, I'll do that. Just trying to keep SOMETHING original on this thing!
