Hey all,
I just picked up a 1961 Astrodome thats leaning to one side. None of the leafs in the spring pack are broken and everything looks ok, I'm guessing since thats the side with the kitchen, toilet, and more weight the spring pack just isn't as "springy" anymore. I took it to a trailer repair shop to get an estimate and they said the trailer needs a 32-33" leaf pack. Problem is the longest 1.75 wide leaf pack they can get (and I can find) is 30". Anyone have any experience with this and care to share how it was resolved?
Thanks

I ran into this problem on one of my campers. After searching with no luck I paid a welder to remove the eyes/shackle and re-weld them in a position that would work with a new spring pack in an available size. Others here have take the original springs to a spring shop to have them reconditioned/rebuilt. I couldn't find anybody nearby willing to do it.
