On my 58 shasta it has the original top wind jack. Is there a way to grease or lubricate it? I wanted to make it last.

Squirt a lot of WD40 around the handle shank at the top. Look for a small lube hole as well. Some jacks had them.

I put wheel bearing grease on the extender pipe. Crank it all the way out and place a little grease around the pipe then lower and raise it a few times. Most of the grease will not move inside but some will. You can wipe off the extra but if you leave some on it will keep ants and termites from climbing the pipe. I know this works because I had a camper with a lot of rot that a stream of ants were calling home. The grease stopped the the stream.
