Our first view of Frankie Camper find 2014 by Corvett crzy, on Flickr Well I guess, it's really a view of "Mollie". After we brought our Corvette home and started learning about vintage campers it quickly became an addiction for me. Every where we went I searched for hidden Gems. You can read the whole story in The Hunt so I won't repeat it here, but the short story is, that after about 3 years, playing detective, patience, persuasion and ultimately a little deception, we pulled Frankie & Mollie out of the woods. Mollie found another home and we brought Frankie home the next summer while we finished up the Corvette. Interior pics as it stood Because of the condition of about 80% of the birch our goal is to keep it as is. There is a section above a closet where it appears the refrigerator vents leaked. We will attempt to patch that section only. There is a small delamination in the center - we will install a vent there. Frankie & Mollie by Corvett crzy, on Flickr Although original, I do not like the Brown stove and sink, I have always wanted the teal appliances. Originally I had hoped to use the teal appliances from Mollie but they were different sizes. So they will be re-porcelained. Frankie & Mollie by Corvett crzy, on Flickr So far no evidence of leaking in the bunk, but we haven't pulled up the foam yet either. That vent - is pretty cool, haven't seen may campers with it, would like to know more info. Frankie & Mollie by Corvett crzy, on Flickr Something was leaking somewhere as you can see on the cushion. There is storage behind that seat, not sure but I thing the water heater may be in that area. If I remember correctly it a Valiant, I haven't done any research into it. Frankie & Mollie by Corvett crzy, on Flickr Obvious rear leaking window, panels from the window down will be replaced. Frankie & Mollie by Corvett crzy, on Flickr You can barely see the spot of delamination. Frankie & Mollie by Corvett crzy, on Flickr Damage above closet and refrigerator Frankie & Mollie by Corvett crzy, on Flickr Small spot of delamination on the bathroom door. Will be looking for suggestions on how to fix this without refinishing the entire door. Frankie & Mollie by Corvett crzy, on Flickr Frankie & Mollie by Corvett crzy, on Flickr Was told by PO that she was instructed when she purchased the trailer used that the furnace had caught on fire, so she had never used it. There is black soot on the floor in front of it and it was filled with debris and mouse droppings. I doubt we will try to use it. Frankie & Mollie by Corvett crzy, on Flickr

Exterior pics Deep gouge in the front, filled with some sort of substance. Will require a new panel. Frankie & Mollie by Corvett crzy, on Flickr Surprised at how many vertical seams on this trailer. My plan is to get all new skins and use them horizontally rather than vertically to avoid leaks. It will require a long 17' section but I think in the end it will be better sealed. If anyone can think of why this would be a bad idea, I'd love to here their thoughts.Frankie & Mollie by Corvett crzy, on Flickr Frankie & Mollie by Corvett crzy, on Flickr Frankie & Mollie by Corvett crzy, on Flickr

Picked up vinyl for the seat cushions and the marmoleum samples arrived. I purchased the fabric over a year ago, the striped for the dinette, the pattern for the gaucho, planning on using the vinyl on the back. Frankie Interior by Corvett crzy, on Flickr
