Hello, I just found this forum and decided to sign up. I am currently rebuilding a vintage trailer I bought about a year ago. The registration calls it a 1966 Buco, 16 feet hitch to bumper with a fiberglass body. The diecast plate beside the door says it was built by Buco Plastic Industries, Calgary Canada as well as the model and serial numbers. I have not been able to find any other info on the company. Has anyone out there ever heard of this company or seen another one?

Welcome. First I've heard of a Buco. You might try the fiberglassrv.com forum too.

Nice little campster trailer mobiltec. Nice big windows on the sides for lots of light. Thanks Vixz for the link to fiberglass rv forum. I had already found their forum shortly after I found the Buco. The pictures I posted were from about a year ago when I brought it home. Since then I have ended up gutting it to the bare shell and pretty much replacing everything. Most of the wood framing around the windows had rotted away and the plywood underneath was rotted. The portapotty style toilet in the back corner had been also leaking and there was a lot of mold and other funky smells. I have so far replaced all of the interior plywood, insulation, framing, wiring and floor. The kitchen cabinets were replaced or rebuilt and the layout also changed. In the original layout the double bunk slid out sideways so that at night you could not open the bathroom door or stand in front of the stove! I did away with the porta potty and rotated the rear bunk to go across the rear of the trailer. This also gave me a much bigger storage closet. On the outside I removed all of the windows, did a lot of fiberglass repairs, sanded everything down and repainted the body and frame. I am working on rebuilding the sliding windows with all new gaskets and seals, cleaning and polishing the aluminum frames and replaced the ordinary window glass with plexi glass mainly for safety reasons. I will post some progress pics some other day.

Yes, I can add a fiberglass section but not sure it would have many posts. We can try it and see...
