The thing that makes me the most sad about “restorations” like this is that they virtually eliminate the possibility that this piece of history will still be around in another 50 or 60 years. If this guy had just done it correctly from the beginning, he’d have saved himself a lot of time and probably angst. I had to laugh when he said he was lgonna get out loft the trailer, like he was in a hurry and afraid the scary asbestos would rise up out of the tiles and attack him. A side note... When we did Hamlet, we didn’t get an asbestos test kit. We just assumed it was there and did everything we’d have done if a test kit had shown asbestos was present. I was used to being around very large asbestos abatement projects and understood that with 60sq ft of tile, if we followed the appropriate procedures, we’d have little or no exposure. Why get nuts over something so small, then ignore the parts that have to do with function and safety. Sigh. Besides. One trailer's worth of flooring is not going to make you sick and die. You have to be around that stuff for 20 years and it has to be airborne to get it in your lungs.... And you must be exposed to it on a daily basis when it is airborne to really do any damage to yourself. Besides all that, if you are smoking cigarettes, the last thing you need to worry about is a little asbestos.

youtu.be/r8Rh5Td43WU Here is another one hopefully he comes over here and can find out the right way to do things be fore it ends up like that garbage that has a ton of views. It made me sick watching all the hard work to screw up an old trailer. I about lost it when they used bondo to “fix” the wood. I knew the white paint wasn’t far behind.

What a shame, looked like t decent trailer judging from the siding and all. Could have been saved. Interesting shape on the front...
