I finally located the source for the damage in my lounge ceiling. Seems it wasn't leaking around the vent but was leaking at the replacement roof-jack for the heater. Completely ruined the ceiling panel though. Another leak has shown itself in the kitchen area and will be more complicated to get to as the panel goes under both sets of overhead cabinets. Not sure how I'll plug the leaks, but at least one is now dripping harmlessly into a bucket.

You should be up there re-sealing every pipe, vent or other thing that pokes through the roof. While you are up there you should inspect the entire surface for splits or cracks and small holes. When you're done with that, then you can go inside and work on replacing panels.
