Now you can make it yours. This vintage trailer is rare. Fully restored it could bring $15,000.00. By the way nccamper I love the way you left the chassis board framing going across the wheel well for now. Don't cut that until you have the wall installed.

That was my plan, leave the board until the wall goes up and it will make it easier to keep straight and steady. That’s my theory anyway.
you’re right, it’s worth $15,000 just the way it is! A few easy weekends and someone could be camping.

What did I do to my trailer today? I finished it. Then I weighed it... 2300 pounds exactly with a full propane tank. She's done. Took it for a little drive and got her up to 60 mph. Tows like a dream. And with electric brakes it stops like a dream as well. Final Walk Through Video...

Just amazing Larry!
The first thing I noticed when you go inside and my jaw dropped was that warm glow you always want in your trailers.
It looks beautiful.

Larry,
What an amazing trailer. I am surprised how original it is. The flooring and seats look brand new. I like how the goucho folds out.

Thanks all. Soon there will be a video of the delivery and the look on the 90 year old lady's face when she sees it.

I first saw this’48 Mainline in Larry’s shop 3 years ago when I visited to see how much work was going to be needed on my ‘62 Traveleze. He had not started work on the Mainline yet, but it was obvious what a wonderful trailer it was. It has been so much fun to track his progress, and admire his perseverance!
It’ a masterpiece Larry ….. congratulations!

Have the new marker lights in. Of course the originals were shot, as was the roof/ceiling. panelsnoroof by Tom Myers, on Flickr Lots of big projects to get here, but nice that a couple hours of work can also yield a big return. newmarkerback by Tom Myers, on Flickr newmarkerfront by Tom Myers, on Flickr Gets dark here around 7 EST so will repost with them all lit up. Thanks again to all that have helped get me to here.

We did something very rare in our 65 shasta. We parked it by a lake and camped in it. 1st night was great, it came a hurricane the 2nd night. Still had a great time. This was our last trip in the 65. We put it on the facebook to see if it would sell to help fund the 60 deluxe build. We had over 50 messages in 2 days and sold it to the first couple that came to look. Its a great trailer. Hi Friends, My Westerner wardrobe door needed the regluing of the plywood layers. The plywood layers were separating on the top and the bottom of the door and ready to break off. I glued and clamped the laminate back together and it is once again as one. And in more exciting news, I spent almost $100 on 100 feet of 6 mil clear plastic sheeting to place underneath the tarps on my 3 trailers. I then covered each one and recovered all of them with the aging tarps which are close to retirement. I will need to replace before the rains come. That's the original mirror, I believe.

Good as new

Yep I do a lot of that Rod. I put paper towels under the clamped wood so the wood doesn't stick to the paneling afterwards. Then I just sand the paper that did stick off.
