Hey Larry - Did you use the Seal-Tite corner seal tape with that corner cap molding on the Silver Lodger? Barring a bad review from someone I'm planning to use it on the Holiday House which has a ton of butted skin joints... Thanks No I used a calking substance It's called Dicor. Not self leveling though. I lined the inside of the corner cap with it. This corner cap rail is the same stuff used on Teardrops and they told me this is what they use for it. I really wish now that I had used regular putty tape which is what I was originally going to use. Butyl tape, the gooey black or yellow stuff is what manufacturers have been using for years but it too will leak eventually.

Moving along. Got the propane all working. The 7 pin plug and junction box has been installed and the jack is finished. Getting very close now.

At this point it's becoming more difficult to tell what's new on the trailer but as you can see, I've added the chains and the tongue area is complete. I've also now rehung the door and installed the door bump stop that holds it open. What you don't see is that I've also done the first cleaning of the floor. One more cleaning and then I will polish it. I also want to photograph the inside without the curtains first. That's because the curtains hide all my beautiful wood work on the windows. So the curtains will go in last. I've also installed the front dinette seats and the table. I cleaned the original upholstery on the seats with a Rug Doctor rental. Just plain hot water did the trick. I was afraid to use any chemicals on the 73 year old upholstery. I also placed new backing on the seats and re-tuffed the buttons. I have to say thanks to Lady Gwendolyn for sending me the tools and instructions I needed for doing that. It's been a long road folks. And I ran into a good deal of setbacks and problems. But with perserverance, patience and a lot of blood, (heavy on the blood) sweat and tears, not to mention a few cuss words I got er done. Well here she is at this point. I will be completely finished by Wednesday and will deliver the trailer in two weeks. I will of course do a complete photo shoot and walk through video before delivery. And I will video the delivery as well so you can all meet the owner. She's 90 you know... Wait till you meet this spunky little lady.

That is a WOW of a project. I like the industrial look of the exposed rivits. Actually those are one inch long twisty nails with quarter inch heads. And that is exactly how it was built originally. That was a lot of nails and I had to line them all up. Every one was pre-drilled. I used a pneumatic palm nailer to drive them in.
