I bought this book to help me identify trailers and the first thing I looked up of course was the 54 Jewel being that I am rebuilding. And it's the very first one off the line from Jewel. THEY GOT THE PAINT SCHEME WRONG! LOL... Yep. The paint scheme that they show did not show up until 1955 after they had been building them for a year. The 54 is an image of a Diamond with streaks behind it. The paint scheme that they show which did not show up untli 55.

They also have a pod cast and talk about some of the mistakes in the guide. You can also send them the correct info for the next addition, or at least be released on the website.
oh yeah and to those wondering great guide book and worth the price.

Yep I love the book. Just couldn't believe that they got the very first thing I looked up wrong is all. LOL... Wish I knew how to get in touch with them. I couldn't find the website. Searched it on google and everything and all I get is places to buy the book. Even the URL in the book took me to the publisher and not the people who wrote the book. Any ideas?

I bought a copy of this book several months back it’s one of the few books I keep in my camper. It’s a fun little reference to have handy. Just like every reference there are going to be mistaken because you can’t know it all, but it is helpful for those of us who want to learn more. I have referred to it on several occasions when I come across an old camper....... Debra

Still hoping and trying to find anything on 1955 vintage traveleze. My dilemma is that mine was built as a park model (no tanks of any kind), I can make it more of a "camper" as I rebuild but if it is a fairly rare trailer...not sure if I want to change it much (if any) from the way it was built.

Well you won't be able to see the tanks once installed. I have videos on how to add tanks. I added tanks to a 59 Kenskill once. It too was a small park model. They show a 55 model 19 in the book. How long is your trailer?

Thanks for the reply Larry. The living space is 21', 24' total with tongue. Single axle.

So far ever single trailer i have tried to look up is either not in the book or the book was wrong. I'm thinking this book is over priced.

I've only seen a partial part of the book but if they are willing to do corrections, it's a huge plus. Good luck to the authors.
