Hey all, last night I watched the newest episode of the highly overacted drama "SWAT". It was shot on what appeared to be an abandoned amusement park/automotive junkyard. The last few minutes with the final shootout between SWAT and the bad guys was laced with lots and lots of vintage trailers. I spotted at least one 50's vintage Spartan, multiple canned ham types and a bunch of more squared box type trailers. There were a gob of them. Made me wonder if it's a trailer salvage lot, or if it was staged by the production company. Might be there is now several trailers available if the film guys are done with them. It made the first 45 minutes of mindless tv worth the time wasted.

I once came across a "salvage lot" in the desert out west. My wife convinced me not to climb over the fence, passed the no trespassing sign, to take a closer look.

Squared box type trailers are called Toaster Models.
