Hello! My wife and I are refurbishing a 1959 Aljo Canned Ham. It needs a complete propane installation and I can't really find the info I need. Most stuff I am finding is for RV use and its not really what I am looking for. I am looking to just install a simple system up to a Magic Chef stove on the inside of the camper without blowing up the thing. Where can I find a step by step guide to get me to that stage? Thanks in advance! Screen Shot 2019-10-23 at 9.38.15 AM by hindssm, on Flickr

You've got a good start with the propane tank. Do you have the regulator and the old copper tubing? If so, you can use it if in good condition. The old tubing is much better than new. It probably already runs to the stove.
To start new, buy a 2 stage propane single regulator with brass fittings. You'll need IP for the connection to the tank and 3/8 flare out. Depending on how you want to attach the regulator, you will need a short hose and bracket or a POL direct to the tank. A 3/8 to 3/8 flare hose connects from the regulator to the trailer copper. New tubing will have to be flared. (use a union to nut at the hose end) Run the copper up and into the trailer stove. It will also have to be flared w/nut to fit the stove.
Do not over tighten the fittings. It's best to get them snug and then 1/4 turn more than overtightening because it can ruin the flares.
Test each fitting/joint when you pressurize the system or any RV shop can do it for you. Hope this helps.

Actually the previous owner gutted and reframed the thing and did not reinstall any tubing. I need to get a regulator and everything else to run to the stove.

Copper tubing is available at hardware/big box stores. I use 3/8 OD. It's softer than the old copper, so I cover it with split loom and clamp carefully under the trailer. You can also use black iron under the trailer and brass tee or elbow up and into the trailer with copper.

Awesome! So I picked up everything I need yesterday. I'm going with the black iron for the outside piping and (for now) rubber tubing for the inside up to the range. When we pick up a range w/oven we will switch to copper I think.

Rubber tubing is ILLEGAL inside any RV. A switch to copper is advised.

I got My copper tubing from the NAPA auto parts store, they asked me if I wanted the light duty or the heavy duty copper tubing. I chose the heavy duty. LOL
