I have a 57 Westerner that I am restoring from frame up. It's a long way off before I get to the interior but I have a question about the amount of vinyl fabric I will need for the dinette seats. I only have one seat base in tact. The rest, including both cushions were absent when I bought the trailer. The seat base measures 25x24 inches. They were originally automobile type sprung seats with leather like embossed naugahyde/vinyl upholstery. Does anyone know how much vinyl I will need to do both seats in the same style as original? I found some cool vintage western themed embossed vinyl that I want to buy before they run out but do not know how many yards I need. I can take my seat base to an upholsterer but thought I'd ask here first. Thanks!!

I usually buy 10 yards. Too much is way better than not enough... I'd guess 3 to 4 yards each seat.

This may be too late, but hopefully helpful to new inquiries...Sailrite has an on-line fabric calculator that is awesome. Take your basic measurements of cushions Length, width, and thickness of cushion, select the application (box cushion) and it will walk you through step by step all the details (piping or no,repeat patterning, etc.)very user friendly. It will also give you an option to see the recommended layout of pieces to maximize your material when it comes time to cut. Remember to measure twice, cut once! www.fabric-calculator.com/cushions.aspx
