Hey all, this '55 Traveleze I've purchased is in major need of structural help. No, it wasn't a surprise (I'm a glutton for punishment). I know I have to lift the skins. There is so much info on here so to save some browsing time......what is the correct order for tear down? Front and rear skins then roof? Do skins and framing happen before anything is done inside? As usual, all help is appreciated!

Thanks vikx, I'm sure it is a great read and would have a world of usable info......but you lost me at "E-book/download". I'm pretty old school and prefer my reading material to be printed format. It's hard to lie down in bed and snuggle up with my P.C. monitor. I guess I'm still waiting for a reply with usable info.

Most of these trailers (all?) are built from the inside-out. If you start to disassemble yours, everything becomes much more clear as you go. For instance, if you remove your j-rail (or corner molding) on the exterior, you'll either see that the top/wrap (front/roof/back) skin either overlaps the side skins, or they stop short at the corner (mine were like this). Whether or not they overlap would dictate what order you remove skins. From what I've seen on this forum, most wrap skins overlap the side skins, so you'd have to remove that first.
Before I started mine I read a lot and posted a bunch of questions, but once I started removing things (carefully, methodically) it was like a "duh" moment. There aren't a bunch of well-kept secrets, everything is there for you to see once you start working on it, and it's pretty evident.

Gottcha. I'll be pulling the j-rail first opportunity. Thanks for the input.
