Without this or a similar technique I would have been screwed when it came to fixing a framing angle error on my Holiday House project. My front window frame angle was off by 8mm over a 27 inch run and I couldn't fix it without tearing out a good amount of framing and wall panels. Using this technique I will be able to glue a perfect shim into place and seat the window properly. Hope it helps someone else. Oh yeah - don't rely on measurements! Always dry fit important pieces and confirm they fit before making it permanent!!!!! www.youtube.com/watch?v=IGK3w2I_Bms

Great video PT. I've used a smaller jig for cutting the tapers on legs for Craftsman Style tables but never saw the potential for shims of this magnitude. I'll have to try this when I get back into the woodshop. Man can never have enough jigs.

PT, Thanks for sharing that. I tip my hat to anyone who can work with wood to such a tight tolerance. PT and Kirk. Nice find. Rod
