I'm wiring up the 12v system in my trailer. I used 14ga throughout but am wondering what size to run from my battery at the tongue to the 12v fuse panel, about 15 feet away. Is 10ga enough? Does that change if I run a converter or inverter?

Wire size is based on the load it will be handling. So you really need to figure out its maximum load, how many amps you could pull through the wire and then pick your wire based on that.

Many converters require 6ga from the battery. Without a converter, I would go minimum 8ga, 15 feet is a long run.
