We've had our 16' 1962 Nomad for almost a year. After some out-of-state title issues, everything was finally legal in April.
A couple trips to the lake this summer, along with the typical frantic screams of "MY left or YOUR left??!!!" somehow prompted the epiphany to take "Eileen" on our honeymoon down the CA Coast this November
Long story short, I had to repair a rotten street-side front corner. Given the timeline I had and a sometimes clinched-teeth chant of "Repair. Do NOT rebuild" as I dug deeper into the repair, I was finally able to get everything back together and painted in time for the Big Day.
The trailer and the weather were perfect last month as we headed down the coast from Monterey to Laguna Beach in married bliss.
I'll log the details, (um, Travel-wise, that is <yikes>) in subsequent posts, but just wanted to introduce ourselves on the new board.
Thanks, Shemp & Bunny

Welcome and I think you are the first person to ever shout my left or your left.

Shemp? Oh.... A wise guy eh? Glad to meet both of you. One of my clients took their 57 Westerner on their honeymoon and ran all over the west in it before restoring it. They even conceived their first born son in that trailer.
When they got home with "Hammy" they got started on the restore using my videos and a little help from my painter. Here's what it looks like today.
And here is their blog for "Hammy" which has lots of photos of trips and rallies and the kid. The stories and trip photos are fantastic. These people go the whole 9 yards when they go to a rally. For a good time, take a look.
