I'm pretty sure none were built in Canada. But there are plenty that were used in Canada, so there must have been dealers, and there would also have been a need to inspect systems in the campers to make sure they complied with Canadian guidelines for safety, etc.
Have you been able to get yours insured here? Who with? Did you need an appraisal? Who did that for you? My insurance broker hasn't been able to find an insurance company to take it on other than as part of my home insurance, I would like a separate policy. She did say that if I found someone to do an appraisal I might have better luck.
Do you use anything special on the interior wood? Its so dry here I feel like I need to condition it but clearly its done fine for all these years maybe its not a big deal.
Wawanesa insurance did ours. They have appraisers. We have pictures of the rebuild as well. We told the insurance company the value we wanted it insured for and that is what they insured it for. But on our home insurance. It doesn't have a motor so Auto policy won't cover it here. I have used Bee oil on it from Home Hardware but maybe someone else can chime in?
