IMG_3646 2 by Ben Rod, on Flickr Rusted C channel frame. I can grind the outside, but what to do on the inside of the frame? Would you just clean it out and POR-15 the inside/outside?

You could wire brush the inside or most of it. Clean as well as you can, especially the loose debris. POR-15 instructions should tell about covering rust. Should be fine.

POR-15 is the best but this has also worked for me: It's great if the frame is a little rough because it leaves a texture. It's also a one coat (step) product.

How much would you recommend for a standard trailer frame?

I think 3 quarts covered the frame of my last Shasta. I used it on a Forester about 4 years ago and it's holding up well.
