Hi everybody, I’m new to the forum and purchased my first old camper a few months ago. It’s a 1971 Aristocrat Lo-Liner. I don’t have a spare tire and am looking around to find one. I see on other parts of this forum a reference to early 1960s Ford Falcon rims. Do they really fit? Does anybody have any suggestions on where to find a spare tire rim for this thing. It’s got the original axle and wheels on it.

It depends on what model Loliner you have. Mine have been 65 and 66 and had Ford Falcon 13" rims with 4 lugs.
HOWEVER: Aristocrat made Loliners that weren't low at all and used bigger rims. I worked on a "Loliner" that was much larger and I thought it was a Land Commander. What wheels are on it now?
Do you have photos?

Your wheels are somewhat similar to Dexstar wheels and hubs. They are hard to find and expensive...The 13" spare I bought for my Red Dale was $150. There is a definite star shape tho, not an open circle as you have.
From your avatar, your Loliner may be one of the larger ones, hard to tell with the photo angle. Depending on the condition of the axle and hubs, you might want to consider switching to a more modern axle and wheel style.
Search Dayton wheels and you may find what you are looking for.

Hi, Thanks for all the information. My camper is a 14' model. I would like to replace the axle with something more modern but didn't want to do that investment right away. The stock axle is a drop axle so the ground clearance is minimal. Do you have any good websites for guidance on replacing the axle? I'd love to find a spare rim so I can take the camper out this summer. I don't feel too secure taking it out without a spare tire. I'll try to look around for a rim.

I think it's a 'real' Loliner. Very strange rims tho.
Try junk yards for a rim.. it's going to be hard to find. The trick with axles is the measurements; they have to be exact. There's several companies online. Dexter, eTrailer, Trailer Parts Hub, Northern Tool etc.
Anyone have a suggestion on axle replacement?

Rather than replacing the entire axle, one might be able to change the hubs and drums to more contemporary stuff.

Thanks for that idea. I've considered it but I would still have the drop axle and the low ground clearance so I suspect if I do this I'll replace the entire axle.
