Found this ad in the January 29 1956 Los Angeles Times, pretty cool.

Thanks Datac for posting this.
For discussion, I would like to point out the trailers in the illustration. Anyone know if those are based on actual trailers? I love the planter with flowers under the front window of the first trailer with a trolley top and then the dome of the second with a double axle.
Girl Hypnotist, LOL.
Cheers,
Rod

Hamlet’s lady person grew up near there. It sat right off the freeway and wasn’t too far from the iconic Goodyear tire factory that looked like an Egyptian palace. We didn’t go to the show, though, as we had a little cabin in the mountains above Palm Springs. Wow, am I old or what?

Cheers, Rod As for the illustrations being based on actual campers probably not, the artist doing the drawings did have artistic license to be creative to help draw the public in, the window planters are eye catching. Hi Friends,
I went on a search for pix of the Great Western Building depicted in the ad hoping to find pictures and then to see if it was still there. I came up dry and I suppose that building is gone. It's not far and it's @ an hour drive from me on a Sunday morning.
Cheers,
Rod

The "Girl Hypnotist" was there for increased sales......
"You want this trailer....you want this trailer... When I snap my fingers you will sign the papers...."
